While working through the missions, I find myself at the end of the base game's main story and the final confrontation with Rais.

- After doing a few missions, I push on to the final one and while I weighed waiting, I decided to do it now. As with some games, you can complete this mission and still go back to do DLC and remaining side missions.
- The final mission was mostly running past hordes, a parkour climb and a surprise quick time battle. It definitely had its tense moments and the climb was anxiety inducing...
- Like I mentioned as a possibility in my Season Notes, I think I might call the series here for now. While I enjoyed a lot of core aspects of the game, including the overall world building, towards the end I just wasn't feeling it. When I look back as to why, I think it mostly boils down to me just not jiving with the main mission designs and how the story unfolded in them.
- Let me know though if things change up in the DLC and I might revisit it, but for now I don't know. Additionally, I am not ruling out returning to do Dying Light 2, though it'll likely be after whatever I play next.

- I played Dead Island back in the day and bought this on release; however in all that time I've never played beyond the tutorial much. In fact, its been so long, I have no idea where the story goes beyond what we see in this episode.
- Rather than go into a free running game blind, I did a bit of playing around ahead of this recording. In that I never progressed past talking to the doc for the first time and instead just ran around. This was to get used to the controls, somewhat, and also adjust settings, etc.
- As of now I plan on doing at least the core of the first game. For DLC and the sequel, I will decide once I've gotten through this one.
- I have set the difficulty to Normal, since this is my first time playing. If it becomes too easy I might up it to Hard, but I doubt anything beyond that.
- Between recordings I might free run around the map to gather crafting supplies and grind some XP. Given the games reliance on crafting, I don't want to have long episodes of just that, though we'll see.
