Note: This playthrough uses a relatively recently discovered patch, which disables the auto lock-on system that normally locks the player onto the first enemy they hit with a normal attack, making it impossible to turn afterwards. (see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHUzuyzu1k4)

Moveset-wise, Dong Zhuo is pretty much like Sun Jian, just with a more awkward musou ending which can leave an opening for the enemy, and with the True Musou forcing a juggle.

Hu Lao Gate, Guan Du, and He Fei are the same things as Diaochan had. Guan Du is a bit weird since you're playing as the one character who's supposedly hiding but it doesn't really change the stage itself.

In between is the Raid on the Rogue Fortress, which is mostly the same as the regular DW3 version, but the commanders are Xu Chu and Dian Wei and they spawn outside the fortress rather than inside.

Tong Gate is close to a rehash of the Wei scenario from the original. Ma Dai and Pang De on the enemy side no longer have the hyper mode stat buff, and the attack force up north is there from the very start. However, they refuse to advance at first, and can even retreat.
The intended way to do this stage is to first clear out the officers in front of Tong Gate, which makes Ma Chao retreat back inside, and this causes Fan Chou up north to advance. If you take too long, like I did by advancing up north first for the stat drops, he retreats.

Wu Zhang Plains has a unique item that requires you to fail at the stage, and so I do. The requirement is defeating Zhang Fei, Ma Chao, Jiang Wei, Zhao Yun, Wei Yan, and also Guan Yu.
The problem is that Guan Yu only shows up if Fan Chou dies before eight and a half minutes pass. (if he's still alive by then, allied reinforcements appear instead)
First, I tried fighting as usual, but even just killing Wei Yan would make Fan Chou survive, so I had to do absolutely nothing. The morale loss also results in having to fight the enemy army solo.

The supply unit spawns in Liu Bei's main camp, and goes to the lower-left corner. Unlike the other times, this supply unit has a horse, so they move faster, which coupled with the map layout makes them a pain to catch up to.
For that reason, I manipulate the last few target officers over to the left side before dealing with them. Dong Zhuo is the commander here, and they're all set to aim for him.
I tried it in Free Mode while not playing as Dong Zhuo as the item is obtainable like that as well, but you have to be at least in the center part for the last officer, and immediately get on a horse to intercept the unit.

Chi Bi is the Dong Zhuo v Lü Bu showdown, from Dong Zhuo's side.
The main differences is that as expected, the reinforcements show up on Lü Bu's side, and when Li Ru triggers the fire attack, the ships do not pull back on this version.
I didn't get to fully show this stage, since Lü Bu is set to aim for Dong Zhuo after ordering a charge. I had already defeated Diaochan by then, and didn't feel like running around to defeat the rest of the enemy officers with Lü Bu chasing me.
