- Analysis:
• Jia Chong is really good for many reasons. Those reasons are solely because of his C1-EX can do a number of things for him and it is crazy. His offense is very simple as he just repeatedly tosses C1-EX until he floods the screen with flying Throwing Axes.
• No character likes double Defense super officers. Jia Chong can deal with them as long as he has a crowd to help build and maintain Flurry. But here comes Jia Chong's main problem, he eliminates the crowd too well and there is no way for him to control that either without sacrificing damage. The simplest way to take on double Defense super officers out is to focus down on them really hard while Rage is active. There is a strategy for this if there are more than one super officer (will detail it below).
- Movesets:
• C1-EX repeatedly as it pretty much does everything for Jia Chong. The combo fill is crazy, the damage is crazy with high Flurry (10:01) and the Storm Rush shatter is pretty much instantaneous. Unlike most weapons, the nice thing about his C1-EX is that he can Switch Attack (SA) and maintain his flying Throwing Axes from C1-EX. This is helpful because if he ever needs Jubilation for healing or Triumph for filling, he can SA without the fear of C1-EX deactivating.
• Storm Rush is viable on Jia Chong because of how well he shatters them. As a strategy for dealing with super officers, Jia Chong should focus down on defeating the one (troublesome) super officer that he as a bad or neutral Affinity matchup against (Zhou Yu) and save the super officer with good Affinity matchup for later (Lu Su). With this strategy, even if Jia Chong runs out of Rage, he has a surefire and consistent method of dealing damage through Storm Rush (10:43). Jia Chong can repeatedly Storm Rush enemies back-to-back because of C1-EX. Normally, a Storm Rush gauge will reset after executing and hitting the officer with it, but because of the lingering Throwing Axes from C1-EX, they are continuously shattering them, allowing Jia Chong to pretty much have "infinite" Storm Rush offense (11:15). All that it requires is that Jia Chong recast C1-EX Throwing Axes to ensure they are continuously flying around him.
