After looking into this code left in for Sonic Origins Sonic 3, there was quite a bit of mania stuff left over. one of them being this moveset for Sonic that works a lot like Egg Reverie Super Sonic from Sonic Mania. it does however have some broken features probably due to just being left in and not updated during the build of Sonic 3K.
