Eric July Rippaverse Talk I'm Surprised He is Getting So Much Hate For Only Making A Comic Book
8I got no side in this topic or fight. I am making this video because I'm just surprised at the amount of hate Eric July is getting for his Rippaverse comics. At least he is trying and putting something out. If people don't like it, don't buy it anymore. And no one told you to support it, buy variant covers or buy any of the products. Those who bought it made a choice. And just like anything you buy. You either like it or you might be disappointed. If you don't like the Rippaverse don't buy it anymore and don't follow him, problem solved.
But to personally attack him and try to pick him apart and his comic in every possible way. As if he should deliver Alan Moore or a Neil Gaimen type quality every issue? And to literally pick apart everything, the writing and the art. It seems to be going overboard with some people who just want to hate because they can.
Their is a fine line between valid criticism and that of just being mean spirited. And I think some people are crossing that line. I mean, is it really needed to post over ten videos on him and his comics? When is it enough? I think you made your point after a few videos, you hate his work and you think his comic sucked. Fine move on already. Why not talk about something positive in comics? Because I was seeing some channels and all they want to do is tear Eric July apart. Meanwhile, most have never produced a comic of their own. At least he made a product and tossed his hand in the game.
And finally I think some of the hate is just pure mean spirited jealousy. Because they saw how much he made crowd funding. And had he barely been funded and made a comic that got no attention. The hate would not be there, and that is a big reason people are going after him.
Note their was audio trouble for the first 8 minutes of video this was best I could do to clear it up.
