Bei Platform Creator handelt es sich um einen Mario Maker Klon für PC und Android.

Wie in Mario Maker kann man eigene Level erstellen und gestalten oder man spielt Level von anderen Erbauern im Online-Modus.

Es gibt insgesamt 100 Objekte bzw. Instanzen, wie zum Beispiel Blöcke, Plattformen, Skills, Items, oder Gegner. Zudem gibt es verschiedene Arten von Leveln, wie zum Beispiel Land, Underground, Underwater, Lost Forest oder Castle.

Genauso wie in Mario Maker kann man Bedingungen zum Schaffen eines Levels festlegen. Dazu zählen das Erreichen der Zielflagge, das Besiegen bestimmter Gegner, das Sammeln bestimmter Gegenstände, einen bestimmten Score erreichen oder eine bestimmte Anzahl an Schatztruhen öffnen.
