0We watch as Emperor Geshtal and Kefka open the gate to the esper world and create the floating island. After a quick item restock and xp/ap grind we head to the floating island. We have to fight off the Imperial Air Force and our good buddy Ultros to reach the island. Except this time Ultros brought his friend and we get blown off the airship and fall to the island. After a few deaths and reminders that this is not and easy level I finally make it the the end where Kefka betrays the Emperor and disrupts the statues and the flow of magic. This disruption brings about the end of the world as it's known and destroys the world of balance and brings about the second half of the game, the world of ruin. After a quick and futile attempt to save Cid after waking up from her coma, Celes takes a journey to find the rest of the party, and see who survived the end of the world.
