FIFA 23 was released on September 27th 2022, for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia, and was the final ever game released under the FIFA banner, before they changed name into "EA SPORTS FC" beginning with EA SPORTS FC 24 on June 2023. FIFA 23 was the 1st ever FIFA/FC game to include Women's Club Football, at the expense of removing J-League (due to expired contract after FIFA 22), and almost all of the leagues from South America (leaving only Argentinian League and Copa Bridgestone Libertadores present in FIFA 23). FIFA 23 also used Hypermotion 2 game engine (PS5, XBOX SERIES X and PC ONLY). FIFA 23 considered by many, as the 3rd WORST EVER FIFA/FC game of alltime, despite Metacritic gave it 76.
