Fighting for Our Life, OH MY GOD! I DROP KICKED HIM OUT A WINDOW (Yakuza 0)
2In episode 2 of our playthrough of Yakuza 0, before going to Toko Credit go to the Temple to get some DLC packs that come with the game. We head on over to the pawn shop to sell some of the stuff. We go to Toko Credit to talk to the president to find out what happened. He informs us that we were set up. We learn that Lieutenant Kuze is the man behind the curtain in this conspiracy. He blackmails us to turn on Kazama, and find out who owns the empty lot. We go talk to Nishki and a close confidant of Kazama on how to fix all of this. Kiryu comes up with the worst plan ever. He wants to simply ask the Patriarch of the Dojima family to leave the family, in order to protect the family and save Kazama shame. Everyone from Nishki, to the confidant, to I myself tell him how bad of an idea this is, he decides to do it anyway. As he travels to Dojima Family HQ to talk to the Patriarch, he meets with Lieutenant Kuze first. Kiryu asks to leave the family, and Kuze laughs. While beating him he plans on how to dispose of his body. Kiryu asks Kuze if he asked permission before killing a member of the family. Kuze tells Kiryu that he's no longer part of the family, he just left, this allows Kiryu to now fight the Dojima family. We now must fight through the Dojima family HQ in order to talk to the Patriarch and meet Kuze again. We go all around the HQ beating up members of the family, even drop kicking someone through a window. We finally arrive, but instead of finding the Patriarch we find Kuze. We get our first boss fight in the game, it was a tough battle that we almost lose, but manage to beat Kuze. This is when the Patriarch of the Dojima Family walks in, tells Kuze he wants his pinky for losing the fight, as well as kicking someone out of the family without consulting him. He then tells us that he will honor Kuze's order of kicking us out of the family, however Kazama will still be held accountable for our mistake. Kiryu is shocked, no one else is since everyone told him this would happen anyway. As we leave the family HQ we meet Tachibana, who wants to work with us. As we end the episode we meet Mr. Shakedown.
*NOTE- There is two audio issues that persist through episode 2, as well as a visual issue that persists until early in episode 8. The audio issues are largely fixed in editing. The fix causes both my mic to sometimes cut off when I'm speaking, as well as the game audio being too low. The visual issue is due to my own idiocy. I for some reason had render scale settings to maximum, which causes the game to look bad. I apologize for these issues. I hope you still enjoy the content nonetheless.
