I suspect when Final Fantasy XIV was taken offline due to the slamming it received from critics and gamers back in the day, nobody ever expected it to become the highest rated Final Fantasy entry. However, with the recent release of the Final Fantasy 14 expansion, Shadowbringers - it has!
This is a great achievement and I am very much looking forward to getting back into the game myself. I keep seeing over Reddit and other forums, how the story exceeds the quality that has been given by many of the single player numbered entries in the series which I find astonishing!
