Hello there!

After a short hiatus, I'm back today to talk about that all-time PlayStation One classic, Final Fantasy IX. It's by far and away my favourite game in the whole series, my first ever JRPG, and sits comfortably within my top three games of all time. With rumours of a potential remake rife amongst the online community, I figured that now was the perfect time to take a look at what made the original title so special.

I attempted to play it fairly safely in terms of spoilers, and you'll note that the vast majority of them occur during Disc 3, hence the warning. However, seeing as this is a 23-year-old game, I didn't want to worry about them too much, so you may find slight visual spoilers in the other 'Discs', but nothing too extensive.

Besides the music used in the lead up to narration and outro, every track played is from the Final Fantasy IX OST, composed by Nobuo Uematsu.
