After finishing my playthrough of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and placing it as my favourite game of all time, I decided to do an entire playthrough of the original Final Fantasy VII (1997) before Part 3 releases. The story of FF7 is easily my favourite story ever told, with the greatest characters I have seen in any media, especially in the Remake series.
I am aware of the general story of the original game prior to playing this, as well as Crisis Core, but I have never played the original FF7 for myself. This game had a massive cultural impact when it came out, with a compelling story and memorable characters. It's a game that defined the RPG genre and storytelling in video games in general, and its influence can be seen in many games today, so I wanted to experience everything first-hand.
