Final Fantasy VII Gold Chocobo
0One of my most memorable times on FFVII was when I finally got the gold type chocobo through breeding. Not only it is great in the races, it is the way to get the Knights of the Round Summon. Funny thing is there is a guide on how to get one in game that I stumbled upon coz I got lost.
To get a gold chocobo you need to mate a black chocobo and a wonderful chocobo using a zeio nut.
Wonderful chocobo can be caught in the snowy area on the top center of the map its kinda uncommon so you'll probably need try a few times. One can get a black chocobo from mating a mountain and river chocobo with a carob nut. Zeio nuts can be stolen from the goblins found on the islands at the right side of the map.
You can get a mountain or river chocobo by mating a great or good chocobo using a carob nut. I'm not sure what the exact combination is so i just mix and match those two. Good and great chocobo can be found near Cid's town or near gold saucer. While carob nut can be stolen from the dinosaur looking monster near the forest with some bones showing up.
