Sephiroth as the final boss was something to expect but I never imagined such a long battle with divisions in the parties. In any case, it was an interesting battle and I had to repeat it a couple of times, but at least it was a little more complicated than the REMAKE one.


At sometimes i wonder if we are gonna had two or three since the fight against Sephiroth feels so long, but the JOURNY MUST CONTINUE INTO A THIRD PART WHERE PROMISES ARE FORGOTTEN.


If there is a way to summarize my experience with REBIRTH it would be like eating a juicy and delicious dinner but it leaves you with diarrhea. The game has many positive aspects that make it a clear candidate for GOTY 2024, however it also has some decisions in the design and development of the game that detract from its merits. So let's see where this second part of the REMAKE triumphed and where it screwed up.


THE DEFINITIVE FANTASY?

If there is something where devs nailed it was the EXPLORATION and HOW THE WORLD IS PRESENT, with the jump to OPEN WORLD this games feels alive and full of possibilities. The EXPLORATION with the world and the interaction with the NATURE is unique and with a lot of thing to do, maybe this is how FF 7 was meant to experience for the players. Maybe since FF XV i dont meet a FF where is exploration was so fun and addictive.

BONDING EVENTS AND RELATION WITH THE CHARACTERS?

The interaction with the characters felt quite special and allowed us to discover new facets of the girls, especially because FF 7 is one of those with the best WAIFUS or at least the ones that marked a generation. The fact of wanting to spend time with them felt like another plus in the game, I applaud that SE has taken the time to develop this section.

THE COMBAT SYSTEM AND SYNERGIES?

I think we were all wondering if SE was going to maintain the focus of the REMAKE (or DLC) or if it would introduce a new form of combat. Well, you could say that they focused on a system that unites the best of two worlds, that is, the combat system is built with the bases of the REMAKE but with the synergies section of the DLC. Another thing that make the combat alot more dynamic and fun is how they make it faster and more fluid, we had a lot of moves here (dodges, block, counters, project attacks, etc)
THE MATERIA SYSTEM?

There is not much to say about the materia system, at least on the positive side, except that new MATERIAS were added, from new spells to attributes. However, the diversity runs out quickly and you return to the same archetypes from the prequel.

THE SAME OLD STORY BUT TOLD A LOT BETTER?

Being a REMAKE that deals with the story already told in the classic FF VII and its THREE DISCS, it will not be tiring to repeat the events that we already know over and over again, I think that was precisely what caused the game to not be a furor in JAPAN. At a certain point in the game you already know that it will be the same story you already know, just with a broader background and small changes.

THE OST?

The SOUNDTRACK is good nothing to memorable since are the same old songs we know from years, just with a few changes.

THE SIDEACTIVITIES?

Holy shit!!! This game present a lot of side activities or content that will make you lose hours on it.. some of hem are pretty fun such as QUEEN BLOOD OR THE CHOCOBO RACE... others awful as THE PIANO ACTIVITY OR FORT CONDOR . The changes in FORT CONDOR screw the game and fuck up the fun, they should leave it as was in the DLC.

BORING EXPLORATION AND OPEN WORLD ACTIVITIES?

The change to an open map implies changes in exploration and the things you can do in the FIVE MAPS, however the game falls into the vicious cycle of presenting the same activities over and over again, after the third map it already feels like white smoke . That is to say, it feels tired and repetitive, even the sidequests begin to repeat themselves (GO AND KILL, GO AND GET, ETC). ANOTHER JAPANESE GAME THAT DONT KNOW HOW DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM D:

MATERIA ACCESORIES?

Another problem in the game is how boring feels the construction of materia builds, for some reason i cant understand the game continue with the simple DUAL MATERIA SLOTS, that work for the midgar part but here feels OLD AND BORING. At this part we should had accs with three or four materia slots O-O-O/O-O-O-O NOT THIS O O O O

WHY DIVIDE THE PARTY, WHY?

For some obnoxious reason the game loves to divide the parties as you progress, yes I understand that they want to diversify the combinations and the gameplay, but damn let me play however I want. One of the reasons why some fights were so difficult or challenging is because of those limitations.

METROID EFFECT?

Someone explain to me why seems is the same game, story and world they reset some progress from the remake, but THEY LET YOU BRING SOMETHINGS FROM THE REMAKE TO THIS GAME, THIS IS STUPID AND NOT MAE SENSE. This causes frustration and makes the player feel like they wasted time advancing in the REMAKE
