The 2022 horror game Scorn had both a complicated development and a controversial release. With Giger and Beksiński as immediate aesthetic influences, it was bound to make a bloody mark on horror gaming, but even a year later, my perspective on the game remains oddly confused. This is my attempt to uncover what could realize Scorn's potential, but that's admittedly a bigger challenge than I initially thought.
