I spent the weekend down at Sports Interactive HQ in London where some very exciting news for future versions of Football Manager were revealed. The big headline is that we're getting the long awaited new game engine, Unity, for FM25 next year, which will lead to better graphics, a new User Interface, better animations and what the studio themselves are describing as the first true FM sequel in decades! But on top of that we also got some early news on FM24, due for release later this year, and the long awaited new feature of save game compatability with FM23, meaning you will be able to continue your existing Football Manager 2023 saves in Football Manager 2024 when the game releases, but will all the new features! We still don't know for sure what the headline features for FM24 are, we'll get a further update on that in a few months time before an autumn release date, but we do know one more snippet of information about Football Manager 2025 - women's football is finally arriving in the game due to release at the end of 2024. These changes all apply accross FM on PC an Mac, FM Console on PS5 and Xbox and FM Touch on Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade, with FM Mobile making the leap itself at an unspecified time in the future!
