I run a monotype hail team in Pokemon DPPt. It carries a lot of risks, but if you can make it work as a team and prevent the hail from being eliminated, you can fare all right with it.

Froslass's job on this team is to stall for a miss with Snow Cloak + Substitute, then spread paralysis around and set up a few layers of spikes. Rarely does she have the luxury of getting off several actual attacking moves in a single match, and it's even rarer for her to run out of Blizzard PP and KO multiple opponents, both of which happen here.

The only reason I left Abomasnow in is because I knew this particular opponent didn't have a weather altering move. Otherwise, I'd be a little more careful before throwing him away like that.
