Notes about high pitch noise:
It is mostly caused by the detoriating insulation of the flyback transformer which emits Refresh Rate * Vertical Lines Hz of sawtooth signal, 29,97*525=15734Hz for NTSC in this case. The other transformers may also contribute to this. It is mitigated by replacing the flyback transformer or somehow reinsulating it with a glue or something(? I don't know if this will cause heat issues) and replacing or at least resoldering the joints of the other transformers. Be very cautious if you plan to open one as they hold deadly amount of charge even while unplugged. The possible workarounds would be using a PAL signal which has just a little bit lower pitched but equally annoying noise, listening to music loud enough for long enough to get deaf to higher frequencies, or getting old. The last two options might not work for you if your hearing is exceptionally good, my dad who is 50 years old and loves really loud music is able to hear this frequency.
EDIT:
I have found out that if you just put a towel on your head you don't hear the noise, the absolute workaround...
