Gates of Hell (PC) - "Thor's Twins" - West Poland 1945
31Russian Shock Troops are preparing to cross the Polish/German border & encounter a small bombed out industrial area that is garrisoned by salty Wehrmacht troops whom serve up a rugged defense.. As Red Army troops flood & overwhelm the defenders, two nearby King Tiger tanks that were pulled back for repairs, surge forward to confront the overwhelming enemy push. Dubbed "Thor's Twins", these 2 behemoths both give a beating & take a beating.. At the end, one is destroyed by a close range side armor hit from an SU-152... The 2nd Tigers' barrel is shattered by an artillery shell & then a hit between the turret & chassis by an IS-2 shell ignites a fire in the tank.. The entire crew is killed with the exception of the coax gunner whom is badly burnt & wounded, but he manages to kill a few more unsuspecting Russians until the tank is eventually destroyed by a large satchel of plastique.
My 1st GATES OF HELL video! - The release of Gates of Hell was yesterday finally after 3 long years of development.. Now using the GEM 2 64 Bit Editor which is far superior to the "Men of War" 32 bit which slowed down the processing speed of the battle graphics significantly..
