edit: i would like to post the most accurate explanation of hm3gbc success conditions i can

have 3* of each animal
GROW 300* crops AND ship 300 crops*
have high enough Farmer Reputation*
have high enough Partner Friendship*

*1- it's probably 3 of each, but i havent actually checked it myself
i think i've had 4 chickens every time i finished a game, but its PROBABLY safe to say 3

*2- idk if you need to grow 300 exactly, but 360 or so was the amount i succeeded on
sadly, i am a glutton for suffering, and will probably be checking to see if 299 works

*3- considering there's a separate check for crops shipped vs crops grown,
i now wonder if you even need to ship CROPS. i will be testing shipping only FISH soon

*4- gain farmer reputation by judging cows and sending horses off to the horse races
i do not know the minimum value, or how many points you get per animal sent/judged
i get 100 rep by judging four 10-heart cows and sending two 10-heart horses to race
a reddit post also mentions judging five 10-heart cows is what works for them

*5- the rating your partner gives you seems to just be friendship based? so just give gifts
i wanna test to see if whether or not you asked them to work at all has an effect on it too, tho

additional information for BOY PLAYERS who want to MARRY the girl farmer;
DO NOT start raising the girl's affection until you have at least 1 animal
the first heart event with her is triggered by her doing a bad job caring for the animals
you must check her work, go back inside, and talk to her AGAIN at the right level to trigger it
all subsequent events are gated behind this first event- if you miss it, you have to start over
you CANNOT LOWER HER AFFECTION to try and get this event to trigger, apparently! reee

additional rambling about this; as a wild guess, i suspect there are 2 values for the girl
affection AND skill levels- skill level rises WITH affection, but only affection can go down again
this would explain why it cant trigger even if you give her rocks and weeds to lower affection
because she can never go back to being bad at work, the event must actually check for a bad job

it is wild to me that there are actually probably separate checks for things like skill vs affection and crops grown vs crops shipped. it makes me wonder if the original japanese text was able to fit a better explanation of the goals into the character limit. i feel like that's often the case.
