I've been in Germany for over 23 years now. They down-graded my high school education. They said although I had all the classes for an Abitur, I got them in 11 1/2 years, so Mittelereife. Then, they looked at my uni transcripts and said I didn't have enough English for the Abitur, so I was granted a Fachabitur to only be able to study Humanities. After that shit, I did not present them with my university papers to assess my BAs. Only in Germany would you be punished for finishing the same number of classes as others 1/2 a year early, because you attended extra classes for the 2 1/2 years of high school.

So, now, I've been assigned a BA in Linguistics, which was my minor at uni, rather than the BA in History that I actually have, and I have a BA in Archaeology from Germany, rather than in Anthropology, which is fine, because my branch of Anthropology was Archaeology. I think that the issue is that the person doing the assessment didn't understand how the US university system works. At least I now have 2 recognized BAs in this country, and Linguistics is fine, given that I have learned Ancient Greek (Attican), Latin, French, Spanish, German, and Czech.
