Japan, 1274. The Mongol army, led by Genghisid Khotun Khan, Kublai's cousin and grandson of Genghis Khan, invades Tsushima Island in order to make it a springboard for the conquest of the country. In the battle on the coast near the settlement of Komoda, the invaders are opposed by only 80 local samurai, led by Jito Shimura and his nephew and assistant, the main character Jin Sakai. From the first minutes, the Mongols showed an advantage in numbers and tactics, despite the determination of the defenders. In the heat of battle, Zito was captured by Hotun Khan, and the wounded Jin loses consciousness.

В битве на побережье у поселения Комода захватчикам противостоят только 80 местных самураев во главе с дзито Симурой и его племянником и помощником, главным героем Дзином Сакай. С первых минут монголы показали преимущество в численности и тактике, несмотря на целеустремленность обороняющихся. В пылу сражения дзито был пленен Хотун-ханом, а израненный Дзин теряет сознание.
