In this video we are here to help you find the best gifts for someone in your life that owns a Nintendo Switch.

You may not know anything about video games but by the time we're through you'll have five great ideas that you can give the switch owner in your life. The best thing about it is there are some inexpensive options here and there are some really high-end options here for you as well so let's get started.

Extra Controllers:
Out of the box the Nintendo switch comes with 2 controllers called Joy cons. They generally are used when your switch is docked and in tablet mode but you can actually use them separately in the joy con grip. Will these work decently there's a couple other options out there. Nintendo offers their own Pro Controller for 79.99 and it is amazing. It's very well balanced, the analog sticks feel great, all the buttons feel wonderful and it just works. It's also compatible with Nintendo Amiibo figures.

In addition to the Pro Controller you can also get additional joycons if you would like, however I really don't recommend that. They're pretty expensive and they're not as comfortable as some of the other options out there. what I would recommend is that you visit my friends at castlemaniagames.com and check out their selection of controllers from 8bitdo. They have a new controller coming out styled like the SNES or Super Famicom controllers that have dual analog sticks, a photo capture button, a home button and Rumble, all for $49.99.

Pro Controller Charging Stand:
Nyko Charging Stand for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
With all of the different controller options out there I must say that Nintendo's first party Pro Controller is rather outstanding. As I mentioned above it's very well-balanced in the buttons work great. One of the things with the Pro Controller however is you need to plug it in to charge it. There's an easy way to get around that and that is by using the nyko charging block for the Nintendo switch Pro Controller. I've actually done a really thorough review on it which you can check out up here and what's nice about the nyko charging block is that once you connect the little adapter that you see here you never have to plug or unplug anything from your Pro Controller to charge it. It also gives you a very nice way to store your Pro Controller when you are not playing and helps reduce clutter

Extra Dock
Having an extra dock for the switch definitely comes in handy if you want to be able to play in a living room and a bedroom or a living room and a rec room or living room and some other room. There are two options out there currently that I would recommend, the 1st is the only am Nintendo switch dock which will run you about $90. There's also the dock that Nyko offers that is only $49.99 and considerably smaller; I absolutely love it.

NIntendo Eshop Gift cards:
There is no Virtual Console available for the Nintendo Switch at this time there are a lot of options for games you can download from the Nintendo eShop. Now when you go to buy the Nintendo eShop gift card there's a couple ways you can do it. My recommendation would be if you are either a Sam's Club member or if you have a Target red credit card or debit card you can save on any gift card purchase in store or online.

SD Card:
If you are downloading games from the Nintendo eShop you are eventually going to use up the minimalistic and rather pathetic 32 gigs of onboard storage the system comes with. The good news is unlike the predecessor the Wii U the Nintendo switch actually uses a standard micro SD card slot so you can quickly, easily and rather inexpensively expand the onboard memory of your switch. There are a lot of deals to be had depending on the time of year when you are purchasing. At the time of this filming I was able to get this 128gb class 10 SanDisk SD card from Best Buy for only $30. With the onboard memory expanded you can download more games without needing to frequently delete and re-download content. I recommend staying away from the ultra cheap eBay SD cards, they often times say they are a higher memory than what they actually are and they tend not to last. Stick with name brands on memory and SD cards and you won't go wrong.
