Five overarching rules for all games are:
1. Tanking: No significant tanking, especially poise tanking . The point is to demonstrate that you learned to deal with the boss’s moveset not that you can combine armor, spells, and items and survive.
2. Passivity: Overly Passive play is banned. Fights don't have to be perfect, but baiting and punishing one attack/avoiding active fighting will be disallowed. For example, poisoning Gael and just running around until he’s dead.
3. Cheesing: No cheesing bosses (unless specifically allowed). You are expected to fight the boss. Examples of cheese would be making Dragonrider, Taurus Demon and Iron Golem fall off platform, Manus crossbow cheese, slam loop on Laurence, BoC Firebombs, etc.
4. Summons: Summoning phantoms is not allowed.
5. Adhere to the Spirit of the Run - This one is touchy, and so the explanation is longer. You should do challenges for yourself. However, we do have “Legend Roles” here that adhere to community agreed standards. If you find a way to do a run, while simultaneously defeating entire purpose of the “Legend Run”, the run may be invalidated.
For example, a +0 “Legend run” is a low damage run. If you discover a way to do tons of damage without upgrading your weapon, that violates the spirit of the run. A dagger quickstep is technically not a roll, but it violates the spirit of a no roll “Legend Run”.
