I discovered that the real ending requires about three full playthroughs...eek. Also, it seems that the robot world is the REAL world and the statue is really a signal control device making all real humans look like monsters. Haru is possibly the only real human and even a simple hug may look like a monster eating. It doesn't explain much else about the world beyond the smaller explanations.
