Guide to Installing The Elder Scrolls I: Arena using DOSBox
26This video will guide you through installing and playing The Elder Scrolls I: Arena, using the DOS emulator DOSBox.
The full guide is as follows:
1) Download DOSBox
2) Download the ZIP file with Arena in it
3) Unzip said file
4) Run the exe file in the unzipped folder, this will tell you to choose a location for its contents. Choose your C: drive.
5) Open DOSBox
6) Write "Mount C C:\ARENA"
7) Switch to this new mount location by writing "C:"
8) Write "ARENA" and the game will start.
OPTIONAL (although recommended):
If the game is stuttering, press CTRL + F12 to up the CPU cycles in DOSBox. Somewhere above 12000 should be good, but test this for yourself. If you do it too many times, simply press CTRL + F11 to decrease the amount of cycles again.
