Guilty Gear playthrough (Playstation) (1CC)
53Playthrough with Sol Badguy. First of all, I need to give a shout-out to Raivop for giving me hints on how to beat this because otherwise I probably never would have done it:

You might have noticed a complete lack of Guilty Gear on this channel. Back in the day, I had some Guilty Gear game for the original Xbox but could never beat the lady with the guitar, and I ended up getting rid of it. Years and years later I got the PSN version when it was on sale, played it, and concluded it was terrible because it was too hard. I couldn't beat the boss and I hated how the CPU could insta-kill you.
Fast forward to now and one of the best ways to get through this with Sol is to spam his super move. Once you get under 50% health you can use his super whenever, and it does good damage if it hits, and good chip damage if it gets blocked, so sitting there doing that non-stop can work well.
The last boss can be beaten with Sol by using his bandit revolver move a lot, to try and keep the boss pinned down under pressure as much as possible. Sol's heavy slash attack is also a good move to use. And then of course spam super if it gets to that (which it surprisingly didn't in this playthrough).
I get to fight Baiken as a secret boss. To get her to appear, you just need to beat the game with Sol or Ky without using a continue. If you do that you'll get to fight her after the ending. Thankfully she's not very difficult to defeat.
I guess the main gameplay feature I need to mention are the stupid, stupid insta-kills. In this game, you can do these whenever you want -how this idea got approved is beyond me, but here we are. You can normally take out the first few CPU opponents in seconds, but they quickly start wising up, and then they'll start doing it to you. Getting insta'd doesn't just mean losing a round, it means losing the entire fight, so it can make some of the later opponents really nerve-wracking to go up against. Thankfully later games removed this feature.
This version is also the version released on the European Playstation Network, which uses the Euro version of the game. The Euro version had some pointless edits made to it, such as removing win quotes and changing some message graphics, which can be read about here:

So now I've done this it must mean more Guilty Gear playthroughs, right? Er...no. I have a few other GG games for the PC but haven't played them, and really I don't even know where to start with the X series. I might try to get some of the Xrd games done next but I'm in no rush at the moment.
