Despite defeating Shadow Vegalta, The World will still close. The post-game of Vol. 4 consists of just talking to everyone on the final day of The World R:2 and a short mission with Ovan.

This ends .hack// G.U. Last Recode! I had never played it on PS2, so it was nice to have the chance to experience it. Although the gameplay seems dated by today's standards, the series definitely evolved through each volume and the story was epic. Hopefully one day they'll also remake the first saga of .hack, or even expand the .hack franchise.
