Hades Hell Mode - Trying to win on the first run
30Support the Stream: https://streamlabs.com/Mekkkah/tip\n\nWhen you start out in Hades, you only have a sword and no Mirror of the Night, meaning no Death Defiances, no extra money or health, and one dash. This makes it hard to progress beyond even Tartarus, but it's been done - in fact, it's an entire speedrun category. I've done it before, but now I'm going to do it again - in Hell Mode! \n\nOn Hell Mode, the game adds another layer of difficulty. The Pact of Punishment is active from the start, adding 5 Heat. In practice, this means enemies do 20% more damage (Hard Labor), we heal 25% less damage (Lasting Consequences), there are 20% more enemies (Jury Summons), all enemies have 15% more HP (Calisthenics Program) and we have no iframes after taking a strong hit (Personal Liability, this is Hell Mode only). \n\nI'll do one run where I'll explain some tricks you can do in a first run, and then some actual clear attempts. You didn't die?\nA: Most likely, because I was offered only one door with Artemis or Dionyssus. When that happens in Tartarus, the chance of success of a run goes way down. This is because (only during your first run) Charon's shop will only offer gods that you've already met. The only gods available in run 1 are Athena, Ares, Dionyssus and Artemis. I only want boons from Athena and Ares, so if I take boons from the other two, they'll show up in the shops instead of the gods I do want. Sometimes I'll keep playing with Dionyssus.\n\nQ: What doors/gods/boons do you want then?\nA: Ares and Athena are the most important. I need 5 boons: \n- Ares's Attack (Curse of Agony)\n- Athena's Special (Divine Flourish)\n- Athena's Dash (Divine Dash) - this one is always offered right away\n- Ares and Athena's Duo boon (Merciful End)\n- Ares's Impending Doom\n\nAnd on top of that I want Poms of Power for the Attack, and as much health as I can get.
