HektontheMage's/DarkElf85's Live LP of Shadowrun: Hong Kong--EE (Part 35)
In a not-so-distant-future where high-tech corporations rule cities and more, where police are nothing more then rent-a-cops who may be on someone's payroll, where people are just a number, there are some who decide to go against them to become...shadowrunners...
Insu Tae (A.K.A. by the handle "Lore") and Duncan Wu fulfilled the request of their foster-father, Raymond Black (Edward Tsang), by taking him into Kowloon Walled City to the Prosperity Fortune Machine. Raymond ended up sacrificing himself to end the toxic qui emanating from the machine and by the Yama King, Qian Ya. This sacrificed trapped him forever with the her. Now, the two foster-brothers are still shadowrunning in Hong Kong, when the HKPF come for them...
In this episode....
Well, the conclusion is at hand---the chance to avenge our fallen comrades...or is it? Lore experiences different perspectives in the ending events to follow...
I enjoyed Shadowrun: Hong Kong--EE, overall. Yes, we should all know by now what I disliked about it. ...MATRIX VER. 3.0! That being said, it rounds out the trilogy nicely. However, I will say it did not feel as in-depth as Dragonfall, but that may be due to it's extra content added. I think I am just biased towards Dragonfall. This may be because out of the trilogy, Hong Kong's main character's background investment interested me the least. It may be because they ("they" being the developers) tried to make me care but fell short. The other characters in Dragonfall made-up for the blandness of the MC, and Returns was just overall bland. While I liked the other characters in Hong Kong, I feel they did not go as far in-depth with them. Anyway, if you enjoy isometric tactical strategy CRPGs, the Shadowrun Trilogy is for you! Until next time, folks!
