This takes place during the Abyss of the Shrine Maiden DLC.
This video covers finding the grave of Alderano and starting the event Lantern of Illumination. Here are the timestamps and notes.

Note: The DLC has a habit of not even bothering to tell you where to go. If you thought it was bad during the main game, its way worse in this DLC. Ill try to be thorough with the timestamps and notes, but even I got a little lost.

0:00 The video begins entering Seldona Laboratory for the first time. You are introduced to lava as an environmental hazard that will damage you. Head south after the scene till you reach a gate. To open the gate you need to find the grave of a man called "Alderano". The area is littered with graves you can find, but they will all spawn monsters if you pray to them. You need to find "Alderano" grave specifically.
Note: if you are trying to do the healer fusion, this is a good place to do it. Standing in the lava wont kill you, but will take your health to 1hp. Enter lava, get to 1hp, leave and heal, go back in lava.
2:00 I finally find the grave of Alderano. Its close to the north of the graveyard by the entrance to the area. Interacting with the tomb will spawn a boss. Beating the boss will unlock the gate.
3:44 You will get a scene with the Masked NPC.
7:13 after the scene, take the exit to the south that leads to Blackrock Fortress
7:24 At Blackrock Fortress, read the tablet for a scene. You need to search for the 4 seal masters to open the door. Leave the area after this.
8:12 A scene with Premiere showing her getting headaches. After the scene, you are not given any quest markers. or any indications on where to go. Im going to get some teleport markers before moving on. After these scene, take the north east exit.
9:54 Bardette City. Take the exit in the south east.
10:21 Blazerock Outer Wall. After getting the teleport marker here, teleport back to Seldona Laboratory
10:48 Turn around and exit to Magmatite Research Site.
10:55 In Magmatite Research Site you can find a green fire spirit close to where the green chest is on the map (the area is called Hall of Discovery).
11:04 You will see a quest marker. Interacting with it will spawn a boss. Beat the boss and a green flame (Cheif Crisbergh's Ghost) will spawn. Talking to the green flame will do nothing. Thats because you have to talk to these green flames in a specific order. Teleport back to Seldona Laboratory
12:57 At Seldona Laboratory go all the way to the south east of the map to some ruins which are called Forbidden Factory.
13:21 At the Forbidden Factory look for a green flame. This is the first green flame (named Overseer Lisette's Ghost) you need to talk to, and will start the event Lantern of Illumination. Now we have to return to the cemetery, again, and find a grave, again.
15:17 This is where I found the grave. It will be the only one with a quest marker this time. You have to beat this spirit for the first key, Overseer Lisette's Key. Teleport back to the start of Seldona Laboratory, turn around and enter Magmatite Research Site. Go back to the green flame in this area.
17:07 Talking to the green flame in Magmatite Research Site with the Lantern will make him talk. He tells you to go to a warehouse in Magmatite Research Site. Teleport to the start of Magmatite Research Site.
17:58 At the start of Magmatite Research Site, take the first left to an area of rubble (18:01). Look at the quest marker by the buckets to get Chief Crisbergh's Key. You will get a scene afterwards.
18:18 The group discuss Tia and Premiere, and take a small break.
24:37 Teleport to Bardette City after the scene. In this map, you will find wells that you can climb in and find some items or monsters. In the center north area, you will find a place called Secret Well Tunnel, look for a well to climb in and go inside.
