Het Drakenkasteel is a Dutch spoken release of the LCSI game My Make Believe Castle released in 1996.

Originele titel: My Make Believe Castle

-- Review on the web --
My Make Believe Castle is a computer environment for imaginative play and animation. Children populate a castle and its grounds with characters (e.g., witch, dragon, jester) and bring them to life with actions and emotions (e.g., jump, dance, become angry, shrink, do a somersault when you meet the princess). Creating animations involves the mathematics of logical thinking, sequencing, and reasoning about spatial relationships -- content that is receiving increasing emphasis in schools today. The program also offers several activities, involving problem-solving and design. While My Make Believe Castle is accessible to pre-readers, it's also rich enough to offer challenge for older children, especially those drawn into the fantasy castle world and enthused about creating their own stories. See also My Make Believe Treasure Isle for a similar game for slightly older children.

-- Developer description --
Nicky’s Make Believe Castle (name of iOS release) lets children step into a world of make believe in which they can make princesses run or jump, princes dance or do a somersault, and Nicky the dragon take a nap, giggle, or stamp his foot in a fit of dragon pique. Endless variations mean hours of ever-changing, imaginative play.

-- Video creator notes --
At some points in the video, graphical artifact occur. The reason for this is unknown, changing GPUs and moving the IRQs of the GPU in Windows 95 did not solve it. Edit: Later found out that this is likely fixed by setting display mode of Windows to 256 colours before starting the game. I had it set to 16-bit colour mode. From 4:31 onwards 2 sound effects can be heard that are not part of the game. They were accidentally left in from editing. But can also be seen as a way to watermark my content by including easter eggs ;)
