Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy is a role-playing video game (RPG) developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in collaboration with Portkey Games. The game is released in February 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Windows, then in May 2023 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and in November 2023 on Nintendo Switch.

The game takes place in the fictional world of wizards linked to the character of Harry Potter created by the author J. K. Rowling, without her being involved in the development and storyline of the game. The Avalanche Software studio was entrusted with the project with the ambition of drawing inspiration from Rowling's work, and expanding her universe with new original content. The game's development spanned several years and its release was postponed several times. Some of the press then considered it as one of the video games in development most awaited by the public.

When it was released in February 2023, Hogwarts Legacy was a huge commercial success. Having become the best-selling game of 2023, it sold nearly 24 million copies in one year.
