Some of the things you can do in Hometopia include:

- Build Your Dreams - Create your own dream homes and neighborhoods with friends

- Build Up Communities - Build in co-op multiplayer with up to 4 players, working together to complete large, multi-development communities.

- Build Your Career - Take on a variety of client jobs to hone your development and renovation and skills. Jobs range from small, one room renovations all the way to full house construction.

MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The game has an impressive level of creative freedom when it comes to building houses. I'm really happy with this build that I was able to create and I look forward to seeing what additional furnishing items are added in the future!

The furnishings and finishes are plentiful, however some areas do need a few more items in order to allow for more creativity as I felt they were slightly lacking.

I also ran into issues regarding the placement of furnishings and/or finishes such as wall finishes, and floorings where no matter what I selected they weren't able to be placed onto any surface at all, this is something I hope is addressed before the full release of the game.

The plots are HUGE and you can easily create a community with friends online or by yourself (although that may take a while), and once I figured out the controls and the layout it was a relatively easy to get going.

The lighting and shadowing are okay, I feel like some areas could be improved upon, such as the day and night cycle which ended up causing some performance issues. (pausing the clock helped)

Overall it's been a good, fun experience and it's certainly a contender in the house building/simulation category and I fully understand that this game is still in development and as such there may be missing items, bugs, or issues and that this video may not represent the final product.
