Manhunt is a controversial game, it's dark and atmospheric, moody and grim and whilst it's not traditionally scary it's deliberate desensitisation of murder and the way it invokes that morbid curiosity in the player to explore unique ways to kill people is more impactful than any jumpscare could hope to be.
