Horus Rising Book Review - Warhammer The Horus Heresy - Book 01
8Horus Rising written by Dan Abnett, tells the story of Horus, the Emperors favourite son having recently ascended to Imperial Warmaster and leader of the final stages of humanities Great Crusade. It focuses on one of my all-time favourite characters Garviel Loken. He too is raised to a position of influence, and witnesses the pressure placed on Horus and his legion, the Luna Wolves, first hand.
The blurb from the book reads as follows:
It is the 31st millennium. Under the benevolent leadership of the Immortal Emperor, the Imperium of Man has stretched out across the galaxy. It is a golden age of discovery and conquest.
