If you are playing Rocksmith on PC and all of a sudden your strums, plucks, essentially what you play on your electric guitar or bass strings no longer register in-game (what you play on the cords is not being recognized by the game) whether it be in the tuning screens, the precision tuner, or during gameplay (you hear the amplification of what you strum in your headphones, earphones, or over your speakers) yet the notes are not hit even if played correctly; your on-screen virtual strings do not vibrate and eventually all of the misses will result in you failing your song or performance? All you have to do is unplug (disconnect) your Real Tone cable, and then reconnect your USB cable. If need be, you can pause the game before unplugging and reconnecting your Real Tone cable in order to not miss too many note markers.
