The original game now also includes a whole other booking mode at no extra cost, which challenges you to run your own promotion with a territorial twist. Assemble the best roster you can with the resources you have, and then travel the world trying to set attendance records everywhere you go! Present the right matches in the right way at the right time to maximize your impact on the ratings, whilst trying to keep a locker room full of egos from self-destructing. Everybody thinks they know better until it's time to do better...
There is a bunch of brands this year, and they are listed from left to right in popular to unpopular: All American Wrestling (highest popularity), Federation Online, Weekend Warriors (new brand), Rising Sun Puroresu, Maple Leaf Grappling, Super Lucha Libre, Strong Style Wrestling, Wrestling Revolution (new brand), and the final and lowest one, Wrestling School. Fanny Monaco now owns Federation online as Mat Dickie now owns Wrestling Revolution. Danny Might owns Weekend Warriors while Russel Haystacks takes his place in his old brand, Strong Style Wrestling. The layout of the creation area is more close to Weekend Warriors MMA now, with ropes around a blue mat. The ropes colors are yellow and orange. You can edit your profile, costumes, moves, and relationships. Some stuff will be locked off if you don't have a Backstage Pass. Via Mat's twitter, there is loads of new content including new hats, dialogue, and even your own interview and choosing what to say. The interview parodies the Joe Rogan Show (on Spotify). There is also commentary now.
Booking Career Mode Information:
The Booking Career Mode in Wrestling Empire operates very similarly to other MDickie wrestling games. Upon selecting a character to be your booker, you will meet with the owner of the promotion by default, Mat Dickie. The owner of the promotion checks in periodically to ensure that the promotion is running smoothly and can even order you to follow commands such as managing finances, signing certain wrestlers to the promotion, and changing the championship reign to another wrestler.
Bookers have the ability to release any wrestler they please, so long as it follows the specifications agreed to in contracts with signed wrestlers. Bookers can also sign wrestlers from different promotions. A promotion with higher ratings is more likely to be able to sign a high-profile wrestler rather than a promotion with lower ratings. Wrestlers that have existing contracts with their own promotions require compensation if the the player/booker insists on signing the wrestler immediately. Wrestlers that are not signed to a contract (those in Hollywood, Wrestling School, or those who are awaiting a contract negotiation) are easier to sign than those with preexisting contracts.
As a booker, the player can organize cards in different nations across the world. With the more fans the promotion gains, the more territory the promotion can control. Territory can be gained by following the directions that from the signs that hover over a nation on the map. With the more territory gained, the promotion can sell more tickets in higher-capacity venues, resulting in more profit.
