Sacred Echoes is a demake of the game SOV, which is itself a remake of the beloved game Gaiden. Despite my issues with SOV, I was excited to play this, as it seemed to fix my biggest issues (overworld spawns and map design). The game has received a lot of praise, including from my good friend Akira Sou. Unfortunately, I did not like it. In this review I will attempt to explore my issues with the hack, as well as highlight the parts I think work.
