INFINITE MONKEY JUMPS in mid-air! (Donkey Kong Country, SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #dkc
657In Donkey Kong Country for the SNES, there's a fairly simple glitch that allows Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong to infinitely jump in mid-air. This is DIFFERENT from flying, and I will die on this hill!
This glitch works on either of the minecart levels, so here's what you do:
Play through one of the minecart levels such as Mine Cart Carnage until you get to the halfway point. Activate the halfway barrel, then exit the level either by dying or by pressing Start then Select (if you've already beaten the level).
Then, re-enter the level and mash the Y and B buttons simultaneously (or just time it right, but mashing works fine). If you press Y and B together at the right time, instead of falling from the Halfway Barrel into the minecart, you will jump up into the air! In fact, you can now repeatedly jump in mid-air by pressing Y and B at the same time!
You can also roll in the air by pressing Y and you can jump out of that roll if you want.
You are immune to enemies and obstacles in this glitched state! You can't end the level without riding in a mine cart, but fortunately there's one you can hop into toward the end of the level.
This glitch only seems to work on older versions of Donkey Kong Country such as the North American 1.0 version. It doesn't seem to work on the Nintendo Switch Online version of DKC.
