98Infinity Blade II for iPhone/iPad is one of the best iOS fighting games period. You'll use swiping gestures to hack 'n' slash enemy after enemy using various one or two handed weapons. It's a universal app, so one purchase gets you versions for both an iPad and iPhone.

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (3rd generation), iPod Touch (4th generation), iPad 1, and iPad 2. Requires iOS 3.2 or later.
Graphics: Some of the best if not the best graphics on iOS to date. A+
Sound: Great sound effects and music to add to the atmosphere. Voice acting is average. A-
Gameplay: Very simple controls will keep you addicted. Some noticeable slowdown on older (pre-2011) devices however. B-
Replay Value: No multiplayer mode at the moment, but this game will take you a long time to finish. A-
