About Injustice 2021 film: Injustice is a 2021 American adult animated superhero film based on the same-named 2013 video game made by NetherRealm Studios and based on DC Comics characters. It is the 43rd entry in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies (DCUAOM) series,
produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment, and released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Matt Peters directs the picture, which is based on a script by Ernie Altbacker and stars Justin Hartley and Anson Mount as Superman and Batman, respectively.
The film recounts Superman's spiral into insanity after being deceived by the Joker into killing his pregnant wife Lois Lane and detonating a nuclear warhead that destroys Metropolis.
Altbacker wrote the script for the film, which was announced in May 2021. The film incorporates aspects from both the Injustice video game and its prequel comic book series, notably the Year One arc, but offers a unique story that differs from the source material. The film got mixed reviews from critics and spectators, with many criticizing the hurried storyline and deviation from the original material, while others enjoyed the animation and voice performances.
