Is Dua Lipa's New Album ‘Radical Optimism’ A Flop?

Dua Lipa finally unleashed her third album “Radical Optimism” on Friday, May 3. Released through Warner Records, the highly-anticipated LP features eleven tracks, including the three singles “Houdini,” “Training Season,” and “Illusion.” Dua worked on this project for the last four years, aiming to add something different than “Future Nostalgia.” In an interview with Rolling Stone, she described her third album as a “psychedelic-pop-infused tribute to UK rave culture.” Shortly after the release, Dua thanked fans for their support and expressed all of her happiness for the album, stating that she is grateful beyond belief for what this album has gifted her during the time of writing, and she's so happy and excited. “Radical Optimism” seemingly had a slow start as it debuted with over 20 million streams on Spotify on its first day, earning her second biggest album debut, behind “Future Nostalgia.” It’s worth noting that the album is her shortest, and the first two singles, “Houdini” and “Training Season,” were released months ago. But what do fans actually think about “Radical Optimism”?
