Not so much a guide as a showcase -- of mayhem.

It helps when you're in a 3 man with your bros (and gank a 4th, only to recruit them!). The frustrating thing is since there are so many other teams out there, you're subject to being trolled / third-partied when you least expect it. So I recommend finding a quiet corner of the map, with lots of car density, and taking one player out to shuttle the others to fill out the convoy as soon as possible. Good luck.
