Here we make excellent progress, after doing a bit of item trading, first finding a rather poor excuse for a minstrel as his playing skills on a lute are rather lack luster, we give him the Shake Spear book we found in the mansion, and he decides to take up acting instead. Possibly a wise career choice? Either way he gives us his lute, and in us playing it for Pan the Sayter, he gives us his flute in trade. Rosella is remarkably talented in playing various instruments, and these aren't the last we'll see of these kills as we're just about set in getting the fruit now. On our way over we stumble across Cupid and inadvertently frighten him away in order to get the most important item in the game, his bow with two arrows in it.

With that in hand we fast track to the waterfall and in using the little crown the prince from before threw at us, we turn into a frog capable of actually swimming under the falls and to the mouth of a cave entrance where we find the final piece to getting the magic fruit, a wooden plank. You should lite the lantern here before entering the cave, and also an item for later right when we enter the cave is a bone. Might not make much sense now but it's pretty important.

Now in these caves is well, as you might expect, a dreaded cave troll. Now in the OG version due to it being dependent on CPU cycle speed, outrunning this vicious brute is a right bugger of a task since depending on the cycles, he moves pretty darn quick. But worse than that, he can spawn right on top of you if you aren't fast to move either by keyboard press or mouse click in this instance.

But he won't follow us where we need to use the plank twice to get across a chasm, obviously he won't go there for risk of falling down himself. Either way, we exit and find ourselves in the swamp area, where we have to jump across tufts of land in order to approach the little island where the magic fruit is. Only for it to be guarded by a cobra of all things. This is where the flute comes into play, allowing us to briefly tame it and snag the fruit, but we GOT to get away as the snake isn't entranced long. Just make sure not to end up rushing into the water by mistake or else Rosella will be sucked under in the quagmire.

Getting back through the cave is a bit rough but after that, we finally make our way to Lolotte's castle only to get caught up by her winged goons, and well, after a bit of a debate of sorts she decides to "test" us, and we're to bring her the unicorn that's in the area first off. We're almost set to actually do that, but we need one last crucial item. We pay a visit to an old fishing hut where an old couple are having a bit of a rough time, so since we have no need of the bag of gems we were technically given earlier, we give it to them and get a fishing pole in return.

Baiting it with a worm we got earlier, a quick cast and we catch ourselves a fish. Now we actually head to Genesta's home, where we find she's worse than when we first saw her. We find a feather on the beach and heading out into the water again, we find what people dread most, the whale. Whom promptly swallows us whole, and this is required since he technically takes us to an island we can't reach, once we get him to spit us out.

There is a specific path up the tongue to climb so it's not as much of a mystery as people think, but finding that specific spot is what makes it difficult. Thankfully the point and click makes it easier to tickle him and get to the small beached item where a golden bridle is, the last piece to get the unicorn! A quick dolphin call later and we're on our way.
