As a child and ward of the Rosfield family, Jill got along very well with Clive and Joshua, who treated her as if she really were their sister. Jill likewise looked up Elwin Rosfield for taking her in and treating her kindly. Anabella Rosfield, however, was less in generous on how she viewed Jill, barely acknowledging her to actually viewing her as a "savage". Thus, Jill largely kept her distance from Anabella to being afraid of her but like with everyone else, she would develop a strong hatred and disgust towards Anabella. However, following the tragic sacking of Phoenix Gate and the Duchy being raided by the Ironblood, Jill's kidnapping and eventually awakening as a Dominant would force her to live a hard life as a weapon of theirs. Jill was distraught that she had to be the Iron Kingdom's weapon but she did not act as they say, the women she knows would be murdered. Thus, whatever happiness she possessed would be nearly gone, becoming hardened and her resolve steeled.
