Hello and welcome to What Da Math.

In this video I will be using Kerbal Space Program to demonstrate the math behind precise orbital landings, specifically, back at Kerbal Space Center. We are going to be using phase angles and Kerbin Landing Chart available here:
http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/30786-Kerbin-Landing-Chart-Land-at-KSC-consistently-from-your-stations

The wiki page with necessary numbers is here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16VdQomdrhENo2m2Yn1G42U3OiR5FHNCKLth5bRIn1ko/edit#gid=0

The exponential formula that I found that works with some precision up to 5000km is: 44.854704025387*1.0000002741985^x
Paste this into google.

You can try to find a more accurate formula using the same technique I used in the video.

Thank you and please subscribe!
