Fans are reviewing it before they finish it. The fans are doing this because the story line sucks and gravitates away from the original. The characters are different. They make choices they wouldn't have in the first game. Franchises often have a problem with new artists and writers come onto a story, they change things. These writers are great at writing, but they don't know a thing about the source material. They don't have any love for the charters. When they dont know the charters, they write them wrong. Thats the big problem we are dealing with here

Star Wars and Aliens are two franchises that suffer from these the most. The creators just want money so they let just anyone add onto the fictional universe without keeping consistency in the over-all story line. This is easily explained by saying "It's in another universe" but that upsets fans. In this situation, the charters in the original universe are acting completely different than they would have in the original. What if John Mclean from the Die Hard series suddenly became a vegan ultra orthadox jew who was afraid of the sight of blood? Now what if the movie acted like he was that way from day one?
