LEGO Lord of the Rings Gameplay Review PC HD
19-- Text Review of the game --
Admittedly I'm not a fan of lego games however, this game is by far the most fun and exciting game of this genre. The game follows the basic story line for the most part regarding Lord of The Rings, but it embellishes with humorous side stepping and comedic behavior. The problem solving is greatly heightened by the ability to swap between party characters at any time. All characters in your party have a specific special ability which can unlock or perform a required action to solve a puzzle.
For example, Sam can light fires and cook, Legolas can shoot arrows, Gimli can break heavy stone coverings, etc. The entire paradigm lends itself very well to the game's overall fun. The fighting is simple and single button. The multi-player (2-player console) mode makes it very fun to play with another.
The cut-scenes are anywhere from humorous to exciting. The graphics are good, as you'd expect from a lego styled game. The sound is spot on, with voices and clips that match the original theatrical score. All said and done, this game is an amazing amount of fun, highly recommended even if you're not a fan of lego games like myself.
