Let’s Play Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - Finale: A Final Trial Portion Done WrrrriiiiGGGGHHHTTT!!!
As much as I love “The Grand Turnabout”, I’ve always found “Turnabout Succession” to be my favorite final case in the series on the grounds that we get plenty of exposition, yet the case manages to maintain a surprisingly brisk pace. For one thing, unlike “The Grand Turnabout”, which has the player investigating two cases, as well as trying to find a kidnapped adolescent and help close out a case from earlier in the game, “Turnabout Succession” keeps things pretty brief with a main case that’s pretty straightforward for an “Ace Attorney” game, a flashback case that feels like a much shorter version of “Turnabout Beginnings”, and a final investigation section that just requires you to talk to people and break some psyche-locks.
Though arguably, this is best seen in the final trial portion in which the game doesn’t pull any punches by allowing us to bring Kristoph in as a witness right away instead of having us spend 30 minutes just barely proving that he could be a suspect. Then, after the final perceive portion, the game forgoes actual cross-examining in favor of having the player present evidence as the trial progresses so that there can be a greater focus on the plot.
In regards to my next Let’s Play, given its length, instead of starting it on a Friday like I would normally do, I’m going to be uploading the first episode this Thursday, 11/26/20. As such, I will not be uploading any mashups this time around.
